About the Event
Les Dames d'Escoffier France Chapter warmly invites you to celebrate chef Eugénie Brazier, a beloved “Mère Lyonnaise,” and the first French chef to achieve six concurrent Michelin stars.
France Chapter Dames and cooking instructors Lucy Vanel (Plum Lyon Teaching Kitchen, Lyon), Susan Herrmann Loomis (Dancing Tomatoes, Paris), and Rosa Jackson (Les Petits Farcis, Nice) will each present an iconic dish inspired by Eugénie Brazier from their respective kitchens in France:
Œufs en Meurette
Poulet de Bresse à la Crème et Champignons des Bois
For the Wine: France Chapter Dame Tanisha Townsend (Girl Meets Glass, Paris), wine educator, will discuss wine pairings for each course, and suggest equally suitable wines from your local wine seller for this unforgettable meal.
This is a fundraiser organized in support of Les Amis d'Eugénie Brazier
Les Amis d'Eugénie Brazier is an association in Lyon, France that provides a scholarship to women taking their first steps in a culinary or restaurant management career. A dozen candidates receive the association's yearly Bourse d'Etudes for studies for necessary equipment as well as moral support through their studies in the culinary arts and restaurant management.
Les Amis d’Eugenie Brazier also grants an annual literary prize to a female author, photographer, or artist who has shown excellence in culinary-themed authorship.
A bulk of the proceeds from this Table Talk event will be consecrated to the annual scholarship fund of Les Amis d'Eugenie Brazier, their Bourse d'Etudes, for the year 2022.
