About the Event

Publicist by trade and now coffee professional by reinvention. Veronica Castro spent a large part of her professional life representing international media in Mexico. It was until 2017 she entered the world of coffee promoting and selling the brand: Diamansol Coffee.

Along at her media career and her deep passion for history of Mexico, she has a degree in Mexican History from the Panamericana University, in Mexico City.

We will learn:

1.How were the coffee shops in Mexico during the 19th century? The range was enormous, they could be centers of espionage, place of political conspiracy of entertainment for “rich house boys”.

2. The boom in coffee production during Porfirio Díaz’ presidency.

Coffee, a drink to which it was attributed great virtue: Purified the blood through sweet agitation, dispelled the heaviness of the stomach and cheered the spirit.
